This national action campaign is being led by the CCECJ. Bill C-226, if it becomes legislation, will be an effective tool for addressing environmental racism in Indigenous, Black, and other racialized communities across Canada.
Bill-226 – An Act Respecting the Development of a National Strategy to Assess, Prevent and Address Environmental Racism and To Advance Environmental Justice
This national action campaign is being led by the CCECJ. Bill C-226, if it becomes legislation, will be an effective tool for addressing environmental racism in Indigenous, Black, and other racialized communities across Canada. The Bill has passed second reading in the House of Commons and it now moves to the consideration in the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development.
